Category War of 1812 Hamilton & Scourge Sunken Sunset: Images from the 2008 Underwater Survey June 22, 2013 to November 10, 2013 Presented By Art Gallery of Hamilton Capsized during a terrible storm in August 1813, War of 1812 era warships the Hamilton & Scourge now sit at the bottom of Lake Ontario. Brilliantly coloured sonar images, which are part of the system used by the City of Hamilton to monitor the schooners' condition, present the vessels in a unique light underwater.
