thinking through the eye of mutual convenience

Category Arts & Culture PREDISPOSED (…to thinking through the eye of mutual convenience) March 28, 2013 to August 03, 2013 Presented By McMaster Museum of Art The respective studio practices of Hyang Cho and K. Nicol offer a view into what could be called the "post-conceptual." Their work is characterized by notional expressions and self-generated systems of an "obsessive" nature, not unlike formative period conceptual practices in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Hyang Cho was born in South Korea. She first studied at Sogang University in Seoul, and received her MFA from the University of Guelph; Cho is based in Guelph. K. Nicol studied at Sheridan College and the Ontario College of Art and Design, and is based in Toronto. www.mcmaster.ca/museum/exhibitions_schedule.html events for McMaster Museum of Art.
