Eventually our city became the largest steel-manufacturing centre in the country. The industry continues today in many forms. Steel-making shaped the landscape, the life-style and the population. This exhibition details the history of iron/steel manufacturing in Hamilton, looking at the processes and changes in the occupation, its products and its workers.
